Adelsö - again

Went to Cathrine and Roy again to touch base with long lost german friends Ludolf and Marcella. Last time we met there were no children and we were all doing our art and photography. We still do, and our children got along great.

Oh, I must say I connected my blog to google analytics and I am so happy and surprised to see that so many people are following the blog, even if, sometimes, it does not show on the comments ; ). I am happy to have readers (or in my case "lookers") from Hawaii, Australia, USA (mostly Maryland and Colorado?) and all over Europe.

Off to the north of Sweden for some vacation now. I won´t be here for a while, but when we return, there will be plenty of pictures from the north and my great grandmas old farmhouse.
Take care of yourselves and stay in touch!

Old merit

My three year old graduation-project, where I designed winelabels for a french Wineyard keeps gaining attention. In only a month I have been contacted by a spanish magazine, Vino+gastronomia, a dutch, a brazilian, and an english. It feels so funny to take time for phone-interviews and to send pressmaterial. But it makes me happy. More work by me and some very talented friends at lula!

Good job!

So happily surprised when I discovered small flowers painted on my toenails when returning from the local thai-salong. Had she asked first I would probably have turned down the offer, but now it came like a nice surprise. It made me think of people who, whatever their job is, is making the most out of it. A joyful busdriver, a nice waitress, or a witty clerk can really change ones day.

Catherines studio

Made a visit to one of my dearest friends, Catherine. We have known eachother since we did Gotland school of Art together. She was into sculpture and I was into painting. Today she makes a living sculpturing dolls for museums. Michael modelled for the one on her table. She is so incredibly talented and I am very proud to follow her progress. On top of it all, she and her man Roy is building a new house. Her studiospace was finished first of all. Lovely with people who live their dreams. But, must admit, a little bit freaky to sleep overnight surrounded by all these mideval friends.

Perfect missmatch

I went up early, made breakfast for M + O, suggested loads of fun excursions we could do together, at least two little fun projects to fix at home, I offered to make picnic for the family but THIS seems to be the response. Our energy today is a perfect missmatch... Oh well!

Latvia

So, here are some images from our trip to Riga, Latvia. Only on the other side of the Baltic sea is a totally different country, very eastern, and it also makes you feel like you go back in time. Great craft though, we bought some puppets for little Otto on the mainsquare.

A cruise

On my way to Latvia. A different world only a day away. And cruiseships are truly a different world in themselves. Cheap glamour. Interesting people. And an interior exclusive for this only. But I do enjoy visiting different worlds. I´ll show you Riga, the capital of Latvia, later!

Lunch with Annis

I was invited by lovely Annis to lunch at Ulriksdahls värdshus. What a nice thing to do at a nice place. With a nice person. Listen to her music here!

Wedding weekend

The wedding. Everything was fantastic, in a very down-to-earth-way. The bride was amazingly beautiful, the food great and the party lasted untill the morning. I wonder where it comes from, that I really would like to do this someday.

Peeking

Some photos from a day in May when I found this chapel, not in use, where I had a peek. I often think I should not work with 2-dimentional design. I often dream about space. I always imagine how one could turn a room into a livingarea, build walls, tear down walls, make a loft, rise a ceiling, etc. My mind really began to spin when I saw this. I would have a party. What would you do?

Totally dig this

Found this on Dwell and i totally love the artwork! Would look great in our bedroom. I´m not sure about the american sizes and if they fit our duvet. Well, duvet is not needed anyway. Sweden is hot right now! Perhaps I´ll get one...

Reading a lot these days. Trying to challenge my mind and get out of automatic behaviours. Could be it´s not the best time. The lack of sleep caused by our little babyboy does not make me very alert. But perhaps, because if that same reason it´s very needed. Sometimes I just want to trade myself in for a better, more updated, clearminded version.
